The language that is strategically useful, most likely to be useable on cheap nearby holidays and relatively easy to grasp in its basics is Indonesian. It has simple pronunciation and structure, and a phonetic script using the Roman alphabet. (Hamish McDonald Asia Pacific Editor, April 2008)

Beginners'  Indonesian (for people at 0 and 0+ proficiency on ISLPR scale)

Mondays 6.30 – 8.30 pm

8 weeks from Mon 16 February 2009

Cost:   $190
Beginners'  2  Indonesian (for people at 1- or 1 proficiency on ISLPR scale)

Tuesdays 6.30 – 8.30 pm

8 weeks from Tue 17 February 2009

Cost:   $190
Intermediate Indonesian (for people at 2, 2+ and 3 proficiency on ISLPR scale)

Wednesdays 6.30 – 8.00 pm

8 weeks from Wed 18 February 2009

Cost:   $144

Classes limited to 15 participants

Other levels may be offered upon request
All classes held at the Indonesian Consulate 134 Adelaide Tce Perth
10% discount on courses for full-time students, concession card holders and Balai Bahasa Indonesia Perth members
